Each blank cover is cut from one of a variety of leathers. The leather can be smooth, pebbled, or buffed and may include bison, Horween CXL, rugged oil-tan, or vegetable-tanned leather. Tooled patches are made from veg-tanned leather which is carved, tooled, dyed, burnished, and protected with a top coat. Some covers may include a leather-set stone or other embellishment in place of a tooled patch. All additions are stitched to the journal cover by hand using a traditional saddle stitch and premium waxed thread.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"J.
