Minnetonka
Minnetonka Moccasin was founded in 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the company remains headquartered today. It started as a small business making handcrafted footwear for roadside gift shops, with moccasins influenced by traditional Native American designs quickly becoming its most popular product. Phillip W. Miller, who came to America from Poland and had been running a corner grocery store in Minneapolis, became a partner shortly after the company launched and remained with it until his passing in 1986. Now in its fourth generation of Miller family ownership — with David Miller serving as CEO and his daughter Jori Miller Sherer serving as President — Minnetonka is the longest-running American moccasin brand.
